Ecology Urban Style: An Equity-centered Stewardship Framework for the Cascade Green Zone

This white paper, authored by Corliss Claire and Corina Newsome for the Cascade Heights Community Development Corporation, introduces Ecology Urban Style—an equity-centered stewardship framework for the Cascade Green Zone. The framework articulates that ecological health and community wellbeing are inseparable, and that successful stewardship of our urban forest requires integrating diverse community priorities, such as public health, economic development, and youth leadership development. The guiding principles in this framework, and the concrete recommendations offered to advance these principles, are in service of building a future that ensures future generations of Atlantans inherit thriving ecosystems and communities.
